Sharir Kriya is the science which deals with the study of the human body in relation to its physiological norms. It deals with the study of the normal functions of the body. The whole purpose of Kriya Sharir is to explore the normal functions of living organisms, their principles, their mechanisms, and their actions.
Ayurvedic concepts of Sharir Kriya deal primarily with the functions of Dosha, Dhatu, and Mala. According to Ayurveda, every individual is a unique entity; to understand this uniqueness, Prakriti Parikshan (the analysis of mind and body constitution) is essential.
