Kaumarbhritya is one of the most vital branches of Ayurveda, dealing with the comprehensive care of children from conception till maturity. As one of the eight classical branches (Ashtangas) of Ayurveda, it integrates ancient wisdom with modern pediatric perspectives.
The department focuses on newborn care, nursing mothers, proper feeding techniques, breast milk disorders (Stanyadushti), wet nurse qualifications (Dhatri), infant nutrition, and specialized conditions like Graharogas.
