Panchakarma is a Sanskrit term meaning "five actions" or "five treatments". It is a premier detoxification process designed to clear the body of toxic metabolic waste left behind by disease, poor nutrition, and vitiated doshas. While the body naturally processes waste, repeated dietary indiscretions, sedentary habits, stress, and genetic predisposition disrupt internal homeostasis, causing metabolic toxins known as Ama to accumulate across physiological channels.
