Shalakya Tantra is one of the eight classical branches (Ashtangas) of Ayurveda, dedicated entirely to disorders affecting the body parts situated above the clavicle (Urdhva Jatrugata). This encompasses complex diseases of the eyes (Netra), ears (Karna), nose, head, oral cavity, throat, and teeth (Danta).
The department integrates classical Ayurvedic management protocols—such as specialized localized therapeutic applications known as Kriyakalpa—alongside modern surgical and diagnostic techniques outlined in clinical texts.
